Answers to the questions we hear most from families — and if yours isn't here, we'd love to answer it directly.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach rooted in the science of how people learn. It's used to build meaningful skills — communication, social skills, independence, emotional regulation — and to reduce behaviors that get in the way of a child's quality of life.
Modern ABA is individualized, compassionate, and assent-based. It's about understanding why behavior happens and teaching new skills in a way that feels safe and respectful to the child.
ABA is most commonly used to support children on the autism spectrum, but the principles can help any child who benefits from structured, individualized skill-building. We work primarily with children who have an autism diagnosis, as that's what most insurance plans authorize coverage for.
No. The ABA we practice is not about making children comply — it's about understanding them, earning their trust, and building skills that actually matter to their life. We use assent-based practices, which means we pay close attention to whether the child is a willing participant and adjust accordingly.
We welcome questions about our approach. If there's ever something about a session that doesn't sit right with you, we want to know.
It depends entirely on your child. Recommended hours come out of the BCBA's clinical assessment and consider your child's age, needs, and goals, as well as your family's availability. Some children thrive with 10–15 hours a week; others need 25–35. We'll discuss what's clinically appropriate and what fits your family's life.
Yes — in-home ABA is a core part of what we do. Our RBTs come to your home for 1:1 sessions, working on goals that fit naturally into your child's day. We serve Oviedo, Winter Springs, Winter Park, and East Orlando.
Yes. We provide in-school ABA support where the school district and family both agree to it. Our team coordinates closely with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and IEP teams to make sure everyone is aligned on goals and strategies.
We currently serve Oviedo, Winter Springs, Winter Park, and East Orlando. If you're nearby but outside those cities, reach out — we may still be able to help or refer you to a trusted partner.
We work with children and adolescents across a range of ages. If your child has an autism diagnosis and you're wondering whether ABA could help, give us a call — we'll talk it through.
Absolutely — we encourage it. Parent and caregiver coaching is built into every program we run. The more confident you feel using the same strategies we do, the more your child's progress will carry into every part of their day.

Yes. We're in-network with Aetna, Medicaid, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and several other plans. Visit our Insurance page for more detail, or call us and we'll verify your specific plan at no cost.
For insurance coverage, yes — most plans require a current diagnostic evaluation (typically within the last 1–3 years) from a licensed psychologist, developmental pediatrician, or similar professional. If you don't have one yet, we can point you toward trusted local providers who do diagnostic evaluations.
Sessions are 1:1 with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and typically run 2–4 hours. They're a mix of structured teaching and naturalistic play — your child won't be sitting at a table doing drills the whole time. The BCBA overseeing the case also joins regularly to observe, coach, and adjust the plan.
We meet kids where they are. A hard day doesn't get pushed through — it gets worked with. Our team is trained to recognize when a child needs a break, a change of activity, or just a little connection, and to adjust the session accordingly.
That varies widely. Some children graduate from services in a year or two; others benefit from longer support. We're always working toward making ourselves unnecessary — our goal is progress, independence, and graduation, not indefinite services.
Yes — transitions happen all the time and we're happy to help make them smooth. We'll coordinate with your current provider (with your permission) to ensure continuity of care.
We love talking with families. Give us a call or send a message and we'll get back to you quickly.
